HABITAT RESTORATION
Our founder has found
funding for and/or directly managed the restoration of close to 40 acres of coastal habitats on the Texas coast. With extensive experince in restoration, we can assist with plant selection, restoration site design, and provide techniques to make
plantings successful.
Galveston County and State Park Community Prairie Restoration Outreach Program (Artist Boat)
Received a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Community Outdoor Outreach Program for $50,000.00 to restore 10 acres of coastal prairie and sand dunes (with Artist Boat).
South Texas Angler Education and Outreach Project (Friends of Laguna Atascosa)
Received a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Community Outdoor Outreach Program grant for $11,053.00 to host public Family Fish Camps and field trips for Brownsville ISD students at Bahia Grande, Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge.
Upper Texas Coastal Dune Restoration and Outreach (Artist Boat)
Received a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation grant for
$ 70,994.00 to restore 14 acres, or 10 miles, of sand dunes through an outreach program with 4th-Grade participants.
